hand brake light?

Anybody tell me where the switch is for the handbrake to make the dash indicator light up when the h/brake is applied,cheers.

there aint one that i know of on a mk5 :?
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

How come I get a red light on the dash that looks like the handbrake on light.Its a circle with 2 curves on the outside,this goes out when I start the van,so I suspected a dicky switch,hmmmm,the plot thickens...........

Mine comes on when the starter is operated. it is for low fluid level on mine :D

Just had a look at the wiring diagram,I'm guessing it may be the cold start indicator,which would explain why it goes out when she starts up,DOH!!
