hi guys !i wonder if anyone can answer this question , i have just changed all my locks on my van . and changed the blade on the ignition key to match with the pats ! and it all works ! but can i program a black key with a red chip , that has been programmed before ? or have i got to get unprogrammed keys ?

Yes I think you can, but you need two orig' keys, if it's not the old red master key setup...
It's summat like key one in ign... turn to run, second key in... turn to run... 3rd 'new' key in... turn to run, someone may have proper sequence.

yup you can program in keys that have been programmed before. Basically each key has a unique ID and the PATS reads the key code. So a single key could theorectically be programmed in to several vehicles

hi matt ! what i'm trying to do is use old chipped keys , if this is possible but they are not from this van . and recode them !

yes thats fine...
each key has a code... say "12345" and that never changes. If 12345 is in the pats memory it will start.
You dont code a key, you change the memory in the PATS module, adding a key to its memory. One key could be programmed to several different vehicles without problems!
