Exhaust front pipe for 190TD - LHD 1998

The front pipe's been blowing for a while, so I took the precaution of buying a new one a few months back. With the MOT coming up, I finally got around to fitting it today, except it won't fit. What I bought is shown here:

My van's a 1998 190TD, LHD, non-cat. I can only find one front pipe design listed, the one I have is superficially the same, but has a few different angles, reult is it runs closer to the propshaft, and where it points downwards where it should meet the front silencer. Other suppliers have different numbers, but still only one design for the age of my van.

Any ideas? As I've had this a while I don't expect much luck in returning it to the supplier, but I still need to get another one of the correct type - I don't want to make the same mistake again!

mate there is so many pipes for transits looking in my book i can see only 1 that is listted

Thanks, another number makes me better armed! I'll take a trip to Bells tomorrow, with the old front pipe in the boot of my car, just in case.........

A trip tp Bells in Swindon identified my front pipe as a pre-1997 type, so presumably the van was at least a year old when registered in late 1998! New pipe supplied and now fitted,
