Just replaced the rear shoes on my s reg transit and now they are spongey when running. Do they need bleeding again and do I need to manually adjust the ratchet system or does this set itself ? Thanks.

They're supposed to be self adjusting, but I've found that most need to be "clicked out" so the drum can just about go on
Ford Transit 120 TDI EPIC Automatic. 0-60 in a leisurely and smooth 12.7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 19.1 seconds. Now where's all these faster? manual Di s?
the brakes are solid when the handbrake is on or when they have been pumped but with the engine running the pressure is lost. Going to try adjusting the ratchet now.
