handbrake only works on one side

Postby stuartwilkins1 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 9:46 pm

van has just failed the re test as one side has an excellent handbrake but the other side has nothing. Any ideas why ? Its just had new brake shoes and everything else is good. The end of the handbrake cable was re connected, is there any way this could of come out ?

Did you fit a new rear section of the handbrake cable??

If not, most likely this is sticking one side ... thats the favourite cause .... replace it
