Cambelt

Postby icraig2009 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 6:10 pm

Hi Guys,

Can anyone give a ball park figure how much it'd cost on a 1995 Smiley Face Transit, to replace the cambelt?
Also is there anything else you should replace when doing such, like water pump etc?

Cheers

I usually pay £150 for a service and cam belt change at my local independant and he changes the full kit ( i.e belt & tensioners ).

ALWAYS replace the water pump when you change a cam belt :!: Along with the tensioner :!: For the extra £30 in parts to do these, it's not worth risking an expensive mechanical failure.
