Beam converters

I have an Autosleeper Legend motorhome on a Transit L190 base built in 1999. Wishing to visit the continent I bought a set of plastic stick-on beamconverters from Halfords in order to meet the anti-dazzle requirements. These come with a very comprehensive list of vehicles and the method of applying them according to the headlamp lens design. However the 1999 model does not appear to be listed and the only refence seems to be for plain lenses whereas mine are patterned. Any suggestions please apart from the large rigid lens protectors costing £55 from Fords parts dept?

Yes, but I'm not sure which part of the patterned lens to stick them on.

I don't think the lens protectors will alter the beam pattern anyway.
Park your van about 3 metres from a wall or garage door and switch on the dip headlights. Cover one lamp up as it is easier to do one at a time. At the top left of the light patern is a section sloping upwards and to the left and this needs to be blanked off to give a level top to the beam. Move your hand around on the headlamp glass to find the area that cuts off the upward triangle of light and then use a piece of black tape to fine tune your "converter". Repeat for the other light. Don't expect the second "converter" to be the same shape or in the same place as the first.
