Postby fordmaniac » Sun Mar 14, 2010 12:18 pm

hiya guys, is it just me or is there such a thing as vast variety of clutch plates for the mk5 2.5diesel? ive been looking at some recently and some have 5 springs and some have 4 springs on the clutch centre plate? which is right , mine is a a M Reg 2.5 1995 . does it just depend on who manufactured the clutch? would a clutch off a 99 model mk5 fit a 95 model for instance? any help appreciated cheers gaz

there are only 3 fitment of clutch plates for the smileys

One is a petrol one

One is normal duty one

One is a heavy duty one (larger dia and often fitted to turbos)
Lucas Laser 2000/IDS

95 Hallmark
96 150 100PS LWB Hi-Top
96 Autosleeper Duetto
06 Mk7 (scrap)

There's loads of different ones just for the diesel engine alone :!:
