been a member for a while now, but just bought my frist transit, i have come across a slight little problem but wondering away round it seen as theres loads of intel out there - i only have the key with the red cap on no master key

the black key i have its self is getting rather worn and dont really want to take it to a ford stealer and get my arm ripped out - is there anyway around getting another key cut and being bobs your uncle? would also like there to be a spare involved at this point aswell

i know you can pull the imobe out of the key and tape it to the steering colum but that would be an instance for someone to just jam a screw driver in and away they go, so wondering is there any other option.....

Your van would only have come with 2 black keys with red chips from the factory.

To do it properly with only the 1 key you would need to go to ford or an autosparky to get new keys programmed in.

The other option is a bodge, but a lot of high street locksmiths can clone ford keys but it will give you another working key!
