How do I remove

Hi

Trying to remove the front left n right corner plastic pillars so that I can run cable for ultra-sonics etc..

Anyone removed these before?

There is a screw in the top of the plastic but they are obviously connected with clamps. Dont wanna snap the clamps if there is a specific way of removing these with ease.

Remove the screw then pull gently from the top and it should pop off

I have just given up on attempting to install the rubbish atfer-market HAWK central locking kit on the transit.

Problems people will come accross:

1) Rear door after removing the rod from the key lock has far too much play in the rod which stops the actuator from locking the door mainly down to the actuator not having enough movement to engage/disengage the lock.

2) Front doors are on cable system so you need the special clamp system.. Howver this is still no use as the cable from the door mechanism does not run straight and is far too tight leaving no room to have a perfect straight line for the rod from the actuator to work. Once again actuator does not really provide enough strength to operate this system

Has anyone else experience problems with an after-market central locking kit?

Probably easier to find a tourneo breaking and get the central locking from it

What Transit have you got; what sort motorised of actuators are you trying to use

On the MK3, 4 & 5 rear door lock you need to drill a hole in the lock lever just inboard of the connector rod, I didn't take any pictures of when I did mine, so its a little hard to describe. Yes, you do have to take the mechanism out to do it, bloody fiddly...
Front doors on mine where easy far as I remember, hardest job was the sliding door connector
