i have a transit minibus on a s reg and mot due end of month few things need sorting for it that i no of as follows

brakes spongey suspect faulty rear cylinder
headlight beam out
windscreen washer not working
reverse swich worn out
usual rusty wheel arches and bottom of rear doors
and to can it all of today the center prop mount bearing collapsed today

i am not the greatest with a spanner so have to use local garage how much would above cost to repair and would it be worth it

just need some genuine advice

Whether its worth it or not is down to you and how much you need your van, but none of that list looks major.

Headlight is easily adjusted, washer (probably a failed pump, very common, very cheap to replace) and prop bearing is half an hour job. These bits will need sorting for the MOT, but not necessarily the other stuff.

I'd be tempted to sort the above, and then stick it through the MOT now to see what it actually fails on, gives you a proper list to work from and time to sort it out.

MOT will measure braking effectiveness, and probably be able to tell you the fault rather than a guess.

The rust may not be a fail depending on how bad it is, arches and rear doors are usual places and see them on plenty of serviceable vans.

How much your garage will charge depends on their hourly rate, but its no more than an hour or twos work + some cheap parts (depending on what that brake fault is).

I don't trust many garages, so dont tend to use them.

I have a 1995 minibus and if i had a list like that i would sort it and get it mot`ed, it up to you but how much would it cost to replace this vehicle with another transit of course.
