changing axle

hi can anyone advise me on how to change an axle on a 190?I know that ive got to disconnect brake lines and cables and undo the bolts to the springs but need to know where to place axle stands?and the rubber pipes that hold the brake cables how do you take them off the drums?thanks in advance
