If the "sport" light is on for no aparent reason just pull the bulb out :D

Rev counter

Make sure you have the White cable with a black stripe going to pin 8 of the larger connector

If you don't (as I suspect) you'll have to run your own :!: :D

the illuminated sports light is worth an extra 10-12 imaginary BHP - I'd leave it in

Note:-On 95+ Transit diesel the rev counter will work straight away as long as there are 3 wires on the bolt on terminals on the alternator, the big wire, charging, the bluewire, dash warning light, the third, grey if my memory serves me, rev counter.if it only has 2 wires, no rev counter

going to read the othere post if i get through the 10 pages

Image whats this bit for on the transit speedo we swapped it from the transit one to the othere one and i think it is for the fuel gage as it gave a higher reading then befor

Look at your large connector socket, look carefully next to the pins they are numbered. You need no. 8. Mine has a white and black coloured cable going to it. Hope this helps. Andy.

so looks like its a trip down the scrap yard to get the othere block of the car the clocks come out of is it the bigger one of the the to in the van that needs the wire feeding to it?

Image

as some one said in the othere post think the how to tec post on this needs up dating  as you can have the 3 wires on your alternater but its still not plug and play

"three wires but not plug and play"

Because the third wire might simply terminate at the large connector next to the battery :!:

If you have a look at the photo with the plugs, the larger connector is the one you need to count from the bottom and you will see the white/black cable :D
