Spring eye bushes

Postby landymad » Mon Apr 19, 2010 2:20 pm

Hi guys, my 1990 mk3 tipper failed the MOT last week on rear spring eye bushes :( ......... Anyone know where i can buy some? Ford no longer supply them......... have tried loads of independent Sprong & bush suppliers with no luck........ The spring eye is 60mm wide, 47.5mm diameter. The bush needs to have a 16mm hole in the center sleeve. Any help will be gratefully recicved. If i can't buy new bushes or springs i'll be breaking or selling the tipper complete........ Thanx Landymad.

Thats not good news, Im sure there was loads on fleebay a while back. I suppose the eyes on a MK5 are different then
Did someone mention that he could make some from a modern material, or was that shackle or steering bushes or something.

Im going have to start looking for some spares then :(

Try the Transit centre in Dudley. They are pretty good and would've thought they have them on the shelf.
