TD downpipe?? which one..

Postby bodgit0_0 » Sat Apr 24, 2010 5:43 pm

Getting evrything ready for the TD conversion of my 150 but dont have an exhaust downpipe?? been to the local m-factors who said there are a few different types.

The engine was removed from a T reg 150s on the heavy duty 15 inch wheels. does anyone have an idea what the part number would be so I can source this part. Will post a link to the van as it was on here 2-3 weeks ago.

HI
I looked at this wedsite when i was after the back pipe on my mk 5 Turbo conversion, the van i have is a 97 van. With a 1999 front pipe with cat... I looked through the picks and found the part numbers for a back pipe on a pre 98 swb td van.
If you look at the picks on the links below you can work out the type you need.
The Front pipe on the T reg van you have had a cat on it. The First link is the system on the T reg van.
I used the part code and went to CES (Chester exhaust centre) and got the back pipe from there.
The Flange on the front to middle pipe will be the wrong way round but you could just cut/weld the other way round. If you are planning to use the exsisting exhaust! And if they join under the driving seat area under the van!!!

Hope this helps!!
