mk5 hazard switch not working

hi my mk5 smiley minibus hazard switch has stopped working,was at side of road when i heard a noise from fusebox and just stopped working,fuse ok,indicators ok but when i put hazard switch on the indicators dont work,could this be a dodgy relay or faulty switch,any ideas,cheers glen

im presuming youve changed the fuse

checked fuse first thing,tried new flasher relay, still inop,has anyone had faulty switches?

I had the switch fail on my MK3.

Unfortunatly the hazzard switch is part of the indicator stalk on the MK3 and it cost me over £80 from ford

Mine was about £30 from GBM, they are really cheap for some bits.

gbm is all new genuine parts!

ye transit part centre is all gen ford parts from turkey they all do the same job anyway or if ya like me go to the scrappy ya can pocket it or get them for £5

They are allways going,ive changed loads of them ,sometimes if you put a left indicator on,and switch hazards on they will work,,...same with the washers ,the stalks give up the ghost £5 in Brum from transit breakers..best wishes Billy :

replaced switch and all working,got brand new one from van parts in manchester-£25 bargain!
