Well i put the key in the ignition and if my battery is not flat i turn the key once and she fires up....

Close but not quite. They were also fitted as a rather rare option to UK spec vehicles. Fastmower has one on his county and I have seen 1 or 2 others on the forum with them fitted. It is possible to retrofit a flame start (someone on here has done it) but I don't know how difficult it is.
the yellow thing is not a diesel heater - its a water if fuel sensor
