I've got a Complete VV Carb on a Capri manifold. Came off my 1600. I know it had a new diaphragm just before it was swapped for a 32/36 Weber. My advice would be to Weber yours, but you can have the complete manifold and carb for the price of the postage, as it's just in the way!

I can't understand why you have found the alternatives unsatisfactory. The VV has always been looked down on, and widly replaced as they were poor, which is why you are having trouble finding one (aprt fom on here!). The best replacement is the standard single choke webber, designed as a direct replacement for the VV, I am not talking about the webber twin choke, which is a good replacement but needs a different manifold to fit it.

Lol!1  no pics of the van as yet....not sure how to get the pics on here anyway....oops then... might need a little help on that lol...and as for the remington.... 8) it shoots 762 ammo..and i shoot at the Thetford Gallery and Robyns lodge ranges and Battle area..i shoot fig 11's ( metal plates that flip up and down with a soldier printed on it.) ...and the usual circular type targets..with coloured rings.( lol working antiques apperantly lol ) these were built in the late 1800's and i sometimes have to work them manually for the other shooters..a whole detail of us go down to do this..plus you have to mark each shot with a small tag. once i know how to post pics on here ill send u a pic of me shooting the remy...its actually my mates...but he has two lol.. its a nice bit of kit... 8)
