L Reg Auto to Manual swap

My Dad's Petrol Auto Minibus had a major fluid leak and needed to be towed home (all drive was lost, like a clutch cable snap)

This was 2 months ago and my Dad has passed away since (I promised him I'd fix it and use the van!)
The engine won't turn even with a freshly charged battery, does that mean the autobox is seized? Is it a waste of time getting someone to come & look at it?

I reckon the best plan for economy & steep hills is converting to a manual box...

What is a decent price for supply & fit of a recon manual box +pedal/gearlever and/or supply & fit of a used box from the scrappy?

hi rob
your better off going to manual. but your gonna need gearbox,clutch kit,clutch cable and pedal, and if you have the same problem i did your gonna need a propshaft too
i should say your gonna be talking around £150-£200 for parts and fitting unless you fit them yourself

is it carb or injection as i had major problems matching a prop to my axle.
i had to change the flange on the diff in the end

it sounds like you have the 2.0 efi like mine.is it the pinto injection engine?.which are quite rare from what ive gathered so far.
i converted mine to diesel and scrapped the engine i wish i hadnt bothered as im going back to petrol now.
if i was you id keep the petrol engine and change the gearbox like your planning.you will also need to change the prop hanger to!.
all in all its not that bigger a job to do.
