Mk7 radio pin out and rear speakers

Postby Punto443 » Sat Sep 10, 2016 10:01 pm

Asked a lot so here's the pin out and where to find the rear speaker wires for adding rears.

Also be aware that if using the base model radio, the rear outputs will work, but will not be controllable using the fader control until enabled in the vehicle configuration by diagnostics.

My rear speakers had wires and plugs fitted to the van but they terminated at the big white connectors at the A pillars  so i had to add them from the A pillars to the fakra connector at the radio (iirc)

That's the 1 i remember now, so you plug the stereo in then you plug the speakers in and you are left scratching yer head.

I think there's a few things that do that isn't there

This is brilliant thank you. Using your diagram I’ve found the place in the 57 pin that the speaker wires go. Apparently I need molex connectors though. Don’t suppose anyone knows which size or can tell me whether I need the male or female ones please?
