loose hose on turbo

Postby rt » Tue Dec 26, 2006 7:49 am

merry xmas to all over there, looking for some advice my 2006 135 transit found at 15000km the clamp on the outlet hose from the turbo very loose so refited it tight.then at 20000 kms removed the hose down the bottem into the intercooler and there is a fair amount of black sticky gunk around the hose and the mouth of the intercooler so removed the hose where it connects to the inlet manifold and there is a lot of black sticky gunk up in the egr valve mouth the reason i went looking was to see if any dirt had found its way into the system because of the loose hose is this black crap normal or is it dirt mixed with deisel fuel i do drive in dust a lot some advise on this would be appreciated cheers rt

Sounds like it needs a good service to get all the crap out the system.
