transit 52 plate alarm problem

Postby mickanic » Sun Feb 18, 2007 9:11 am

Hi, I'm trying to find out how to (reset) programme the alarm fob it's a three button type with one being a blue button for the rear doors.
the van is a transit 52 plate rwd with a 2.4 duratorq turbo diesel engine (with PATS immobiliser)
Thanks for your help in advance, Mick. 07765457424

if it's a new (or secondhand) fob just cycle the ignition eight times (pos 1 to 2) ending on position 2 (the door lock will cycle) press any button on the remote (the doors will cycle again) do any other fobs at the same time or they will be programmed out - switch ignition off - job done

Hi, Thanks for that, I will try it. It's a old fob, I have just replaced the injection pump with a new (virgin) unit and been told to programme the PATS immobiliser.

this will only match the remote - the PATS is a separate system - you'll need an agent or a good locksmith to reprogramme the keys to the new pump
