6" dent in rear door

Postby MICKA404 » Mon Feb 19, 2007 4:06 pm

Some prat backed into one of my rear doors ( 02 mk6) right on the bottom edge where one door meets the other, pushing it in about inch leaving a dent about 6/7 inches long and about inch in, anyone know the best way to fix it without going to a garage, the dent is kindof half moon shape inverted on the very edge which is probable the strongest part of the door I think it could have been a towbar that pushed it in . Do i use heat and a hammer or what ,any advise please.
regards

mike

No i dont have a camera, It wont pop out because its right on the edge where the door skin is folded over the metal and forms a lip on the bottom edge of the door righr in the middle where the two doors meet ie that lip that runs all the way round both doors
