Help Please Mk6 2.4 TD Died whilst driving

My 2001 MK6 2.4 Transit died on me ....In realation to this post and all the helpfull suggestions ie (none) ended up sussing it out myself and fixing it. Apparantly the Mk6 2.4 2001 model
suffers from faulty manuel primer pumps. ie they break down at any time and let air into the system. Rather than replace the pump with the old style I replaced it with an electric one ie it pumps the fuel up from the tank.via a small electric pump situated on top of the fuel filter.Only thing was I had to wire it up via an ignition source ie turn on ignition for an electric source via the fuse box.Works a treat and have just went for a 50ml journey with no probs.

So now that you've deleted the original post no one can see what the original fault was if it happens to there van.

In realation to the original post I think the title of it is self explenatory The van died whilst driving it. Just cut out as if there was no fuel getting to the engine which of course thats what it was.
