Boost gauge set up help

Ok so I have read some posts in the connects sections and transit sections but I would like to know where IS the best place to fit it vacume pipe?

So far I have heard people fitting it to the:

Inlet manifold
Intercooler
Or fitting a T piece on the hose from the turbo to the actuator

Where is the best place to fit it. Where would I get the true and best reading from?

inlet is the best place. will give a true manifold pressure

Most guages come with a fitting to tap into the manifold

Ok cheers guy. Ill get it tapped into the manifold then.

I've just read problems with twitching needles and wasent sure what or where it was plumbed in would cause that problem. Bit if as you said the manifold is the beat then I'll do that.

. Well as I'm going along I'll take pics and notes, always willing to help and do my bit for the forum

Just hope it will be a nice straight forward "how to fit a boot gauge guide" and NOT a "how to fit a boost gauge and cock it up so go buy a new manifold and try again guide"

As to why i want to fit it. No idea, just board and it's cheap

I think it's more like preparation for some rip snorting power. Did you get the boost valve too?

Maybe . No I'm not getting that yet,I'll just get this fitted and working first then "special delivery time"

I'm going to add one but I'll get a stack one,just need somewhere to mount it as I'd prefer it in the dash not on the dash

Can you recommend a bond seal and do you know if I can take the live from the head unit?

yea. head unit is fine, you can get a bonded washer from any factors, or the kit may come with one

Looks like a break bleed nipple.
What I'll do is get the gauge and I'll get that kit in the link you posted.

I'm currently planning this little mod for my van..
But just wondered if you could answer me 2 small questions to set my mind at ease lol
Is there a difference in boost gauges? ie petrol or deisel?? And the manifold you tapped into cossie is the front one behind the grill (intake) the one that's known for getting coked up in crap from the egr valve??
I've recently posted up in the tech section asking for advice and brains_transit bless him was the only geezer to help..everyone just took the piss.. Saying I'm stupid for wanting to do it.
But I'm like you matey I like to mod as much as poss..
