Gear box support bracket

Postby Oakman » Wed Jun 17, 2015 7:14 pm

Hi should you be able to flex the bottom gearbox mount by hand, I would've thought not but thought I'd ask before I go changing it. Swb 2.0 fwd

It will have a bit of give but if it looks and feels degraded and a new 1 is reasonable money then there's no reason not to replace it :-)
My mate was complaining about his Renault 11 being noisy when moving off in first (years ago) so i opened the bonnet and told him to get the bite, the ermine was hitting the chassis leg

Thank for the reply worth changing then. Had a lot of problems with the gear box jumping out of gear so worth a try before I go for a replacement box.
