Dead engine

Postby Fatboy63 » Sat Jun 20, 2015 12:40 pm

hi everyone
I already posted a note a few days ago about my mk7 2.4 tdci RWD just cutting out completely without any warning or symptoms whilst driving back through Spain to get a ferry back to the UK. The van has been in local ford garage for 4 days and they are no closer to getting it running again.
Their computer showed NO ERRORS. They diagnosed fuel pump? Waited 2 days for pump arrive. Same problem., will not run.
They are now saying injectors the cost of which together with the pump work makes it more than the van is worth.

Could anyone post me a logical list of things I can ask to be checked first please. I really don't trust the garage knows much about the duratorque engine.

One very desperate and frustrated van owner.
