Electric mirrors will be a simple upgrade of the mirrors, and adding the appropriate wiring and switches to the doors. Sourcing the parts from a donor van will get you all the bits you need. I'm not sure, and hopefully someone else will know, whether you need to "tell" the BCM that these have been fitted :?: :?

Only Transit alloys will physically fit a Transit, due to the PCD of the wheel studs. You may be able to fit other makes of alloys using adaptors, but these need to be weight rated for the carrying capacity of your van

I think there's 3 levels of mirror loom,
1. No wires at all :-(
2. Electric mirrors wires only, which means you can simply add the mirrors/switch/fuse. No programming required :-)
3. Electric mirrors wires and heated mirrors wires complete, same as above but to get heated function working you need ids :-(

Hey Loot aka the oracle how do you know the difference between 2 n 3? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm learning. I'll go check that fuse tomorrow too. :D

In the mirror connector on 3 there's 2 fatter wires for the heater elements, if they aren't there then you don't have heated part, if you don't have heated screen then it's no major loss.
