Is 137ps possible out of an 85ps when remapping mk7

Postby glenandemm » Sat Jun 27, 2015 4:22 pm

As above, I've seen a guy on there who's remapped a van to 137ps from a 2.2 85 and wondered if this would be poss and safe as I have a 110 and didn't think mine would be able to be pushed even that high??

Yes that's where I seen the guy who remaps them talking about it being a tried and trusted map, I'm just curious as I'm sure I read they struggle with the injectors when you try big power or is that just the 110s like mine?

The guy who did the map was a rep for my mate (bhp tuning) , there good at there job but if you go to there base in altham he's got a rolling road there so can tweak it a bit , I got my last 110 done in Rochdale with a kess2 remap , biggest load of crap ever

as above, get martyn to do it in person, or post him your ECU so he can map it and sent it back

I know it seams like everyone on this forum kisses his arse, but he really is good at what he does - he's done 3 vans for me and I'm over the moon with every one of them

Oh I know, I swear by Martyn he did a remap for me after I had a poor one elsewhere, all they seemed to do was up the torque or diesel limiter or something like that I'm not sure, anyway he remapped it for me and it pulled so much better lower down!
I just wanted to know if what that other tuner was offering powerwise from an 85 is safely achievable!!
What sort of power and performance can you tune from a 110?

It's like any mega high gain tuning, how long will it last? Tractor pulling engines develop massive HP but not for very long. Get Martyn to do it properly.
