Not really in my area of expertise, so it's been to 3 garages, none of whom wanted to repair it, just a lot of waffling about having to take all of the front to bits to see where it's leaking

Bicycle pump on the inlet valve
Plant sprayer with soapy water in it
Pump like fook and squirt the pipes n stuff with the sprayer
Allcock aircon leak detection test kit fifty quid

Sell it Anthony and buy my mk6 Lx that's up for sale With A/C which works great and is iced cold - had to open the window yesterday an let sum warm air in - was frozen in the cab!

For those guys who have a/c It's good for the system to run it continuously all year round as it keeps the lubricant circulating and helps to stop them drying out getting cracks and leaks

Just do what I do, get an inverter, a small fan (or as big as you want/inverter can take) and a car power extension lead and wire it all round and tie the fan to your passenger seat headrest

A 12 volt fan would be a more sensible option, the inverter will be generating heat!

True, saw one in a spares shop for £19 today, six inch one, but it doesn't swivel. I prefer a swivel as I'm sensitive to a constant fast air flow.
