Mk 7 dashboard blank spaces

Postby Aztec.ps » Sat Jul 11, 2015 7:26 pm

Hi people. while fitting my new parrot today I noticed a couple of wires plugged into the blanks and was wondering what they could be and if I'd be able to use them they are the two on the left of the hazard light swith.
Thanks for any info in advance

Heated screen and heated mirrors usually iirc :-)
Usually you have them available on the dash loom, however, depending on the spec of the other looms you'll have to do a bit of work to get them all plumbed in.

Easy test is to check relays r22 and r26(heated screen) in the front fusebox behind the glove compartment.
They may not have the relays in but look through the holes for the 4 spade terminals at each relay position.
No terminals means aw hell :-(

Thanks mate I'll have a look tomorrow, although I've gone 3 years with out so nothing lost if it's not there. It does have the basic of basic looms it had no wiring for electric windows so they got retrofitted.

The looms seem to have many variations from what I've seen, no standardisation :-(
But from what you said I'll go with it being missing.
