Newby to this forum ..thanks for the great info resource.. 2011 mk 7 2.4 T 100
New injectors coded to vehicle ..clean start and idle until warm..then misfire(rough idle as shown with cylinder imbalance but pulls well on the road..SCV and PRV ? Tried a pump learn but failed due to insufficient fuel injected.

If it fails the learns, it's often due to poorly injectors and/or duff SCV/PRV. Were the injectors actually new or remanufactured..??

New Delphi injectors..runs vey rich/smoky at idle so suspect fuel pressure in the rail..Forscan shows 18750 Kpa at idle
PF Jones for PRV and SCV or original.? This is ex. Network Rail messing van, I think the injectors were Donald from
dirty fuel, ( tank/fuel lines all clean now.)it was barely drivable ..
Thanks for your help Knobby..

2011 is euro4 and should be denso injectors

Frp qt idle should be 23000kpa and not deviate more than 2000

What mileage is on it :?: I have seen cylinder imbalance popping up with the timing chain ready to pop
On the sixth day God created a Sprinter on the seventh he gave it away and bought a TRANSIT

..sorry yes Denso injectors ..mileage c.80k just done camchain, tensioner and follower.
FRP at idle hopefully shown below. Fuel pressure looks low @ 18750kpa ?
Thanks.

If it's low, you may have SCV and/or PRV issues.

Assuming your fuel lines are clean and the fuel filter is new I'd say replace the scv and do a pump learn.
Then test the PRV (under heavy acceleration frp should reach but not exceed 1600bar)

Fuel rail max pressure will depend on pcm calibration.
A 2011 van might be lower than 1600bar.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thought that denso system worked on that range (230-1600) regardless of the calibration.
Any ideas why they would lower the max pressure?
Thanks for the input btw

Earlier Mk7 transits may have gone as high as 2000bar but if there were too many warranty claims for problems caused by over fueling then one way to mitigate the issue would be reducing the rail pressure.

The denso system can be run with a fail open scv or a fail closed scv.
Ford chose the fail open option which requires a prv to protect the injectors and rail, but means the vehicle keeps running if the scv fails electrically.

Update..now idling correctly..
Took van to local diesel specialists ( who I rate from past jobs they’ve done for me..) they couldn’t get into the ecu to do a pump and pilot learn..so took it to main dealers (Gates) they said fuel pressure erratic and a leak at the pattern PRV I’d replaced, so took the original I’d taken off, to be re fitted by them..van now running well .
‘ Carry out pump and pilot learn, recalibrate injectors and learn factors, swap spigot for original..’
C.£114.00. Could have been worse.!
The scv I replaced was an EBay Denso..so must be ok .
So far- 4x injectors
SCV
PRV (leaked) pattern
Camchain, tensioner, follower
Oil/filter/fuel filter
Sump pan (old one rusted out)
1x breakdown when I stopped for fuel, flat battery symptoms, but I’m not convinced that’s the reason..ok after a charge.
Thanks for your input all..
