Heated Screen Auto on?

Not sure if I have been imagining this or not. But when I first got my 2013 euro5 125ps 2.2tdci I could've sworn that the heated screen would switch on when the “Low Temperature Outside” warning would indicate on the dash.

It seems it no longer does it.

So my question, is it supposed to automatically switch on when its low temp outside?

Mine switches on automatically but if it's been stood a while it will be longer till it switches on.
Must wait until battery has had some charge.

That could be it then. Its only had short journeys recently so the battery is probably not at its best. Although the batter was only changed 2 years ago.

My heated screen deffo switches on automatically when the low temp outside message comes on. Never noticed if there was a delay. I know sometimes I switch it off because the screen isn't icy enough for it.

That'll be how I've always had to press the button mate cheers actually since i fitted the night heater i just press its remote from inside the house and all windows a frost/ice/snow free and van's warm for me getting in so dont mind it not being auto
