Mk7 camber issues

Postby Gavind128 » Thu Apr 22, 2021 4:34 pm

Afternoon chaps

Just been two have two new front tyres fitted to the van as both had become worn on the inner edges whilst there I asked the to do the tracking on the van and see what the cause is of the wear. After doing the measurements it's come out camber on both sides is excessive. He said it either caused by a couple of weak shocks or bottom arms. I really don't fancy paying out loads of money for parts to not fix the issue. I have read on the forum that some aftermarket lower arms have been known to cause this unfortunately I have no idea of it has oem ones or not so would it be possible for someone to take a tape to one and then I can check them to rule it out first. There isn't any play in the wheel like you would expect for bushes being worn so it's a little odd.

Thanks

If in doubt give it a clout
