Finally picked Bertha up from the weldy man today. She now has new steps and sills. It would appear she had been previously maintained by the same person that did DG-Unit's van. He had saved me the huge wodges of filler, foam and chewing gum he had pulled out of the wheel arches to look at. I am totally surprised the passenger step hadn't collapsed under my tonnage the few times I've climbed in that side! I'm a bit far in now to give up but I'm starting to think I should have packed it in before we got this far! Maybe one more trip to sort the rear, end, although he says the bodge there would probably pass an Mot. Bloody money pits - but I still had a huge grin driving it back from there, so not all fallen out of love with her just yet!

Plugged the camper in the other day to clear the codes after changing the egr but one code I couldn't clear was this

I've yet to see this.

So on I believe 2011 vans there's a glow plug module.
On earlier ones a relay.

But I have no recollection of seeing any :?

What about unplug each glow plug and put a meter on it to see if it is grounding?

The camper is a 2006 so will be a relay I guess

It’s not throwing up any lights and it starts perfectly so I’m not to worried about it just yet. I’ll probably Chuck a new set of glow plugs in it as it’s not like they’re mega bucks.
Need to weld a patch on the inner sill and get it in for it’s mot then I’ll be looking at a rear axle swap as it’s whining really loud and it’s an awful ratio. 60mph and the engine is screaming it’s tits off

If your talking about leons vid regarding fuel pump in the tank you do know that was a mk7 2.2 tdci euro5 right
If thats where your petrol pump lives then yeah basically same idea but if you replaced pump already 300mls ago I'd be checking wiring etc before throwing another pump at it

Started dyeing my seats black, and fitted a second high level brake light. Good results, really pleased.
