What vehicle are we talking about..?? I'm guessing Euro-5 RWD Mk7..??

And it's "EGR" not ERG.

The EGR valve is a common fail...just replace it or blank it and get it mapped out..

Get yourself forscan downloaded to a laptop (free)and a switchable Elm327 unit from tunnelrat electronics (around £20) and put your creader back in box,
Like his lordship mentioned you can block egr and get it deleted from vans software by someone like vantuner but I'm almost positive the egr needs to be working properly before it can be deleted so either way you'll need a new one but it could be wiring thats fooked so much better diagnosis when using Forscan and to be honest any transit owner needs Forscan in their life

So I need USB Modified ELM327 to use the forscan program and plug it to the OSDB II ?
PS: Sorry about the misspell on the EGR I still learn and it is too late to edit it now

Yes. The OBD-II port under the steering wheel.

EGR = "Exhaust Gas Recirculation".

So I do not need to buy a license key for this forscan? Is there a chance this russian guy left a virus in this program's free version?

No, just get/download the free version of Forscan for Windoze onto a lappy. Then get the extended licence, (which lasts for two months), is also free, see here..: https://forscan.org/download.html

If you want to get a 1, 3, 5 year or lifelong license, you will then have to pay for it.

Info on how to do all this is on the Forscan site. It's very informative and very user friendly...even an old bugga like me can use it. :roll:

Best to go to the official Forscan website for downloads, updates, extended licenses etc...getting it from 3rd party websites or some "Russian guy" can be risky at best.

I have installed the program but the laptop I am willing to isntall it on and keep in the van is too shitty. The fan I think is gone or the cooling pasta na dit keeps shutting down. Not exactly something I want to hook up to the computer. I will consider buying cheap windows laptop for 200 pounds later. Apart form an accidentally cut coolant hose everything went well.
But for now the EGR valve was changed I think it was done well. The result are I think what is expected from new EGR valve -100 and 0.

No...just clear/erase any current fault codes....and see what comes back.

There was never a fault code for the egr. The car was suffocating cold and i found out it is blocked by looking at the live data...
And it is blocked i can give you a picture of the old one.
