Nothing today per say... Nothing unusual about that for me you say!?
But over the last few weeks its had a fair bit of TLC.

So got round to fitting the alternator clutch, changed Gbox oil for the goodstuff, inner steering ball joint, TRE & ARB bushes.

Removed the front wing from my old van, painted it and swapped it with the damaged one and took that and two new ones to the painters.

Got a new s/h blend actuator, fitte, nice n cool. But need to pull the dash out as found the blend doors are sticky and not moving properly. And also the fan is rubing on something when it's on high speed.
Fixed leaks in the coolant system by tightening a jubilee clip and fitting a new O'ring to the eberspacher temp sensor.

New set of 245/70R16 BFGs
Rebalanced and check tracking.

Replace drivers seat with one from my old van and went to swap seat belts to find my van has airbag linked recoil and my old van doesn't so just swapped the belts from one reel to the other and refitted the original recoil with the belt from the passenger side of my old van

Then took a long drive south so it could meet up with some of its older inspirational cousins and try a spot of greenlaning.

I replaced the number plate light bulbs , dont know why as it appears to have passed the last mot without any , did oil change and filter , as its on 16" wheels i didnt even have to jack it up , an old adblue container makes a great oil drain container and comes with a handy recess to channel oil into , just cut a slot into recess in side , and no i dont put ad blue in it , :| , new crossland air filter as well :)

Mine's on 15s and I don't need to jack it up either, it's great isn't it, complete contrast to the car which needs jacking on all four wheels to keep it level, and removing the undertray!

Strange about the No. plate lights, my MOT man told me to get mine sorted before I brought it in for the MOT :?

Fitted the fuel screen camera that doubles up as a going backwards camera (pics later) check the fluids under the bonnet and suspect the oil cooler has shat itself at some point in the past as the header tank is black, popped my head under the front and saw this,

Looks like the upgraded spin on type filter/cooler 8) makes it easier when I come to service it.

So today I continues to try and get the N/S rear hub off with the overall aim for identifying the cause of my brake warning light and also just generally making sure I have brakes that I know are good to go.

The hub had been stuck on and no amount of heat / handbrake adjustment etc was freeing it. So I got medieval with the angle grinder:

Now that the hub is off there is nothing obvious and its clear from the new hubs and state of the shoes that the previous owner had at least done some maintenance in the recent past.

I then tried to get the ABS sensor out which resulted in more use of the grinder:

The securing bolt sheared and I’m having real trouble drilling out the remaining bolt (any recommends for decent drill bit appreciated :?: )

The sensors I have are also far smaller than the one I removed - so that’s a new hub and new sensor required.

Good day though - this is exactly why I bought the van; just tinkering and messing about with the tools. All good. :D

Milwaukee drill hss bits are brilliant, they may cost a bit more then normal but they do the job and don’t dull as quickly as others.

Nice, those custom limited wheels suit the van, might look at some myself once I decide whether to get alloys or fit the wellers :?

You’ll have to let us know what there like, I have the standard ones that are bloody good but looked at the thunderweb a few times, they have been out of stock when I needed to buy some.
