Engine Stuttering this morning.

Postby M4CKK » Wed Oct 13, 2021 8:39 am

Mk7 2.4 RWD.
98k miles minibus.
Inspected every 6 weeks.
Half tank diesel.
Running perfect until this morning when, after starting, it stuttered for about 3minutes.
Seems ok now.. but what may have caused that?

Have you had the codes read..??

I'll take a guess at the EGR valve.

RWD's are a pain in the ar$e....often the bolts are rusted and can strip the heads when trying to remove....two of the bolts are easier to get at from underneath.

But make sure it's faulty before takling it....bit silly replacing it if it's working fine.

Better pic.

No dash warning lights on either.

Well, got a new egr installed, excellent.
Had new oil and filters done too.
I live and work out of the campervan so like to keep on top of things.
Anyway, asked them to remove the 100kph limiter... they tried.
Plug in PC said it had done it.. but no, still on 100kph.

Is it a main dealer job?

Or - anyone on here able to do it?

I'm always up and down M1, Junc22 to Junc38.

Cheers all

I understand minibesses are hardwired to max speed of 100kmh (~60mph). I believe they can be "mapped out"....Martyn (Vantuner) would know for sure.
