It's a fairly common problem with these engines, due to the idiotic single M6 bolt, with a double ended clamp, holding down a pair of injectors.
If the bolt loosens for any reason, the injectors will 'bounce' up and down in the cylinder, thus destroying the copper sealing washer at the base of the injector.
Mine, when they went, sounded like the small ends had given up the ghost, so I drove it 50 miles home trying not to accelerate too often!
