Boonjason wrote:Hi knobby1 mate the engine is no good starting from cold sounds very rough then soon as it gets hot it cuts out and locks up and struggles to turn over all the injector seals have been checked and are all good someone says it may of dropped a couple of rings so just got a replacement engine to go in it and don't fancy a cheap recon engine with cheap sh*t parts that's going last 5 minutes

No fault codes or lights. Fuel pressure was insanely high. Had no idea the ecu could go that wrong or seemingly adjust to failing components without so much as a fault code or a warning light. All got solved. What does engine locks mean? How long after stalling warm will the engine restart and does it start from cold fine?

When you replaced the SCV and PRV, were the learns done..??

ginsambo wrote:Not completely sure mate. They said fuel pressure was off the scale and adjusted it, are a good injection specialist so presume they did they learns as I wrote down what I'd done and hadn't but didn't ask. Can you relearn a learn at any time to be sure? Would have done it myself, but was convinced it was f@@ked, so didn't bother. Turns out in the end I'd 98% fixed it.
