Before I went on my holibobs, I took the precaution of disconnecting the batteries, apart from being an effective anti-theft device, it won't run them down with the normal parasitic drain which the Mk7 seems to suffer with.
So today, I connected them back up (success, still at full voltage) and started the engine, took off the sun blinds, and we're all ready for helping my son to move home, after weeks of being messed around by his buyer.
I'm hoping that he's recruited enough help so that I don't have to bring stuff down from his present second floor flat. Van loading and driving is all I want to be doing these days

Nah they'll be staring at them in wonder and swerve right into them

My red van was a knobhead magnet. Ppl parking next to it in an empty Car park while I'm sat in it then trying to bang their door against it because they're too close

So, another loading, driving, unloading job, but was rewarded with a fish-n-chip meal 8) :D

Walked straight past it whilst waiting for the long list of parts to come :)
Batteries disconnected and half the engine stripped down whilst I go on holiday:)

Cant wait to get it fixed so I can do the little bits , like some fresh new rollers for sliding door , then t-cut the internal roof
And maybe give the dash a uplift :)

When I owned my Jumbo’s I used to line the front wheels up where my drive starts to slope down towards the road , no jacking needed and it made it easier to get to the oil filter

I've just found it parked in a car park in Wantage ..................... well, found it on street view anyway

It was when we were moving my son from his nearby flat, and only parked there for an hour whilst we loaded the other van :P
