Rubbish Headlights!

Postby SirLimpsAlot » Sat Jan 28, 2023 7:37 pm

Is it just me, or are do other people think the headlights on their mk7's are SHOCKING? Mine are so bad I've had to check they're actually switched on around town as I thought I was driving on side lights. I've checked and the high and low beams are working, the lenses are clear and the reflectors are good. I'm interested in what upgrades people have done.

Check the voltage that is at each lamp front and rear.
First check the front battery V the V at each lamp should be just a little less.

You need to show which Mk 7 you have.
2012 MK 7 E 5 100-350 3.5 XLWB RWD Duratorq 2.2L CR TC 14 DSL 100/125 PS E5 DPF BCM PCM RCM
Was DRRB 74 KW 100 HP 100 cv. Now CYR5 125 HP. PCM could still be for 100 HP.

i have the 200% brighter bulbs and they are still SH1T

Bought HIDs from hids4u, but they werent transit compatible, after sending pictures, they agreed and i had to return them

they said the only thing i could do was to fit LED lights (which i hate)

not sure if LEDs are brighter as ive not tried them

It seems the bulb of choice is the Philips osram bulbs, I haven’t tried them yet as I just put the spot/fog lights on for a bit more brightness.
