Front wing replacement

What access is required to remove the wing,and recommend quality replacement panels please. Tia.

Well if anything like mk1 connect, i'd imagine front bumper would have to come off ..or you take the bolts out that hold it to the wing.

That little triangular piece between top of door and wing hides a bolt maybe .....the triangular piece needs new clips once removed. holds the mirror unit on yours

There may be a bolt that is accessed from the inside between the door hinges.

you may have to remove heater air intake grill

on yours looks like door "A" post trim has to come off to get at another bolt ......so more clips required
note: trims are held on with ONE USE ONLY clips

You must find new clips from ebay .........or you'll be paying - stupid money - maybe plus £9 "EACH" from ford there may be 2-3 different types of clips you have to find.
ebay is sort £3.50 for 10 or below

oh ...some fixings may hold wheel arch liner to the wing

Lots of clues if you look at a bare wing ..you can then see the fixing holes

whilst you are there .
if the windscreen washer reservoir is on the side you are working on .....perform flush and maintenance on the reservoir ..also take out filter gauze in pump outlet and clean.
If don't do this ...and you'll regret later...when you think the pumps packed up ..or lines are blocked ..it really could be the filter gauze blocked with congealed washer additive.

Mk7 are easy, remove front bumper and mirror and unbolt the wing, I got a pair of pattern wings from central panels, they fit ok, the hardest part is the stupid shear bolts on the mirror.
