Tyre clearance

Postby Madbaja » Sat Jun 10, 2023 12:15 pm

I’ve got a mk7 transit 350 LWB with a 2” lift. Currently running 225/65/17 BFG KO2 but wanting to go bigger. Anyone know how big I can or can’t go?

Best thing to do is turn wheels to full lock and measure clearance to the chassis leg, and at rear of front arch and front bumper. Also windscreen washer bottle.
Then get onto a tyre size comparison site and work out how much bigger you can go depending on clearance in width and in diameter.

I can't comment specifically as I'm running LR 8spokes so they're a bit offset.
But running 245/70R16 with a ~80mm lift.
