Postby davepapers » Sun Feb 18, 2007 11:00 am

morning all,
looking to put alloys on my mk7 swb fwd,
got a quote from fords for £370 a set non fitted,
they say they only do 16in for my van but i have 195 70r 15c tyres which i take is 15in wheels.
will this put the speedo out and what modifications will i need,
also has anyone got any pictures of ford alloys for the mk7 please.
my van drives better than a car

if you alter the profile of the tyre you can keep the rolling radius the same - my 16's are the same as my 14's :D

That's noting to do with the size of the wheels, it's the size of the tyres that do that. If you are worried about this sort of thing then make sure you get tyres with the same rolling radius as is currently fitted.

Has anyone fitted original mk7 Ford alloys as above (hentpe post) to a Mk6 350? If so are they 6Jx16?

The reason I ask is that the Mk6 Ford alloys are 5.5J and I think the standard 350 wheels are 6J.
