TFL have got loads of incorrect information, because they can't be arsed to get correct information, so It's up to us to prove compliance - Guilty until you can prove yopurself innocent.
I have a 2001 Mk6 transit, that according to TFL web site is non- compliant after 2010. I also have a letter from the ford technical department advising me that my van is euro111 and therefore compliant.
I went back to TFL LEZ teasm, and they said they got their information from VOSA - contacted VOSA and spoke to someone helpful - who advised me that they were not interested in anything that small, and LEZ team must have got the information from DVLA. Basically as EURO 111 wasn't mandatory until 2002, they assume they anything before is non compliant. It now appears that I need to get a certificate from Ford advising that my van is EURO 111 compliant, and they will correct their records. I have got to run around proving my innocence as they can't be arsed to correct their records.
I don't think that it's really much to do with really cleaning the air in London, more like dogma _ If they were serious about improving the roads/environment/air in london, they'd get all the untaxed/uninsured/unlicensed vehicles /drivers off the road, and see if what we have left is causing a problem, then do something about it - (probably bring down our insurance a fair bit too !) - They let things like the Prius into London for free -see

Site shows things like Prius use more energy in it's overall lifecycle that a Landrover discovery - They have two motors to build, and iI believe the batteries required use a vast amount of Nickel which is notoriously dirty to extract ( mainly from Canada ) and to dispose of ( mainly belgium I believe ). Yet TFL werlcome in Prius, and put a curse on 4x4's - ( I don't own a 4x4 by the way, and have no desire to)
Apologies for the Rant, but I hate TFL with a vengance ( not the people, just the organisation ) - I think I'll go and lay down in a dark corner now.
p.s. Ignoring the Politics, Bring on Boris - he may do something different, and whilst both him and Ken come over as idiots, at least boris makes you laugh !
