I see people say to fit the solid mk6 damper. Is that accepted as good practice or should I find a good (read more expensive ) mk7 one?
My sister is borrowing the van for a few months and I don't want it to fail on her....

The bolts are actually a different part number..But they both use three 12mm thread x 80mm length with a 15mm hex head.

I had worked that out - but do you use the right bolt for the pulley, or the crankshaft? I have guessed that the mk7 bolts will be fine
MinorMatt wrote:Well mk6 pulley fitted with early mk7 bolts....
It will probably last another 100,000 miles, but my sister is borrowing it for a bit and its sods law it would go when she is 300 miles from home!
