Automatic door lock programming

Postby PizzaVan » Fri Apr 25, 2025 7:54 pm

Can anyone show how exactly I can reprogram the automatic locking on the MK7 2007 2.2 fwd? It will do the automatic locking when driving, that is okay. But when I will stop, let the engine idle, then I can't open the rear doors. How to do this with running engine?

Don't think you can, why do you need to leave it running ? That's how vans dissappear

In Estonia it is not so common. Let's just discuss, if this is possible or not.

Not possible...there are several options in Forscan or IDS but I don't think you can leave the engine running and still open the rear doors.

Just a thought would using a spare key fob work for you to unlock the door ? Worth a try

I had this same issue. Van is a crew cab that I converted to a camper, the auto lock would mean that passengers couldn't open the side door from the inside, which in the case of an emergency was not ideal. In the end I just had to disable the auto lock using forscan. If I press the lock on the door, all the doors lock but they can still be opened from the inside without having to kill the engine.
I have no idea what the hell I’m doing.
