Gaskets for EGR on mk6 2.0 DI

Postby Trev_ » Mon Apr 28, 2025 7:00 pm

Hi all,
I'm thinking of removing the EGR on my mk6 (2005) 2.0 DI 100ps FWD transit van to give it a clean and so am trying to work out what gaskets I need to order in advance, from looking at the instructions:

https://workshop-manuals.com/ford/trans ... ation_(egr)_valve_2.0l_duratorq-di_(puma)_diesel-2.0l_duratorq-tddi_(puma)_diesel/

There is reference to replacing 2 gaskets:

NOTE:Install a new EGR valve gasket and a new EGR valve tube gasket.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

I can only find reference to one gasket on the parts list:

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... I2NDArMjcy

Item 2 which is part number 1121213

I would be grateful if someone would let me know the part number of the other gasket that I need.

Best Regards

Hi
I've had a look under the bonnet to locate the EGR which from looking at videos of a similar van I thought would be under a load of pipes at the back of the engine bay, however it looks like it is at the front, drivers side as per this diagram:

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... I2NTYrMjcy

and looks like item 1B and the gasket should therefore be item 2 which is 1203025, however I still have the same problem that the other gasket isn't on the drawing - would it be on a different diagram?
Best Regards

Hi,
I've found the part number for the inlet manifold seal where it connects to the EGR which is on:

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... I3Mg%3D%3D

item 7 so is part number 1316713 and therefore the only other connection to the EGR is a rubber hose connected to the underside so won't need a gasket.

I'll order parts 1203025 and 1316713 and when they arrive I'll have a look at cleaning the EGR.
