Also has anyone ever removed an edc from the pump without taking the pump out please as iv seen somone on ebay who said he can do it without needing the whole pump help much appreciated as i dont have have much money as i make a living using my van for removals thank you.

You can, but it is a tight area and soldering/crimping is required to refit etc, much easier with the pump removed. There's people on fleabay who repair them.
